After a trip to Germany and visiting the famous Black Forest we tried some of the famous cake with the same name. The German version wasn’t great but you know what is - Doc’s version consisting of a chocolate cookie with white chocolate chips and cherries mixed into the dough adding even more moisture to the the cookie. On top is a cherry sauce that is baked on to it for more flavor. Even those that don’t like cherries are surprised at how much they like it.
